About the Project
A practice of noticing
Frame of Thoughts is a reflective writing project about the invisible lenses — language, memory, culture, identity, expectation — that quietly shape how we make sense of ourselves and the world.
Where it began
It started with a simple observation: two people can taste the same lemon, hear the same rain, stand on the same cold tiles — and walk away with completely different thoughts.
Neither of them is wrong. But both of them are shaped by something. Frame of Thoughts exists to look at that "something" with curiosity rather than judgement.
What it hopes to be
Not a set of answers, and not a self-help program. A place to slow down, read one small reflection, and notice what it brings up in you. Over time, those small moments of noticing add up to a clearer view of the frames you see through.
The Approach
Meaning hides in the ordinary
You don't need a retreat to the mountains or a life-changing event to reflect.
Everyday moments are already woven into our lives. A coffee cup, a closing door, a pause in a conversation. Each reflection uses one of them as a starting point — a way in, not the destination.
Anyone can do this. All it asks is that you pause long enough to notice.
Guiding Principles
Three things we come back to
Curiosity
Ask "why does this feel the way it feels?" — and stay with the question a little longer than is comfortable.
Mindfulness
Notice the moment while you are in it: the taste, the sound, the texture, the thought that follows.
Openness
Let the answer be surprising. Meaning is not fixed, and neither is the way we see it.
How it grew
The story so far
The first question
A lemon, a rainy window, a cold tile floor. The questions that started it all.
The first reflections
Ordinary moments, written down slowly, one observation at a time.
Today
A growing archive of reflections — and a weekly letter for anyone who wants to notice alongside.
